The Pin on Disc Wear Test Equipment developed by SPOORTHI ENGINEERING EQUIPMENTS. BANGALORE-560073 used for determining the tribological properties of different kinds of materials under different loads and sliding speed conditions. A stationary round specimen mounted in a specially designed specimen holder is brought into contact against a counter surface rotating disc at a known sliding speed, as the pin starts sliding, the resultant frictional force between the pin and rotating disc are measured by beam type load cell (frictional force) . There will be a digital display on the controller for wear, test speed ,test duration, frictional force also online data acquisition system through NI based software where real time data acquisition for wear, co, frictional force v/s time can be displayed and recorded as an optional. Facility for exporting of the data from database software to MS excel is also provided.
